Newton County Fair & Rodeo Lawn Mower Races

Kick off fair week with the Newton County Fair & Rodeo Lawn Mower Races on Friday, August 14 at the Newton County Fairgrounds in Jasper.

Event Details

• Racing Begins: 6:00 p.m.
• Spectator Admission: $5
• Free admission for veterans attending the Veterans Dinner
• Racer Entry Fee: $20 (includes racer, one pit crew member, and gate admission for both)

Race Divisions

• Peewee (Ages 9–12)
• Intermediate (Ages 13–15)
• Powder Puff (Ladies 16+)
• Featured Race (Ages 16+ with a valid driver's license)

Trophies will be awarded in each division. Helmets and neck braces are required for all racers. Bring the family and enjoy an evening of fast-paced competition as the Newton County Fair & Rodeo gets underway.
